Book Sales
Book carts containing gently used books are on sale year round at the Anahuac and Winnie branches. These sale carts are available whenever the library is open.
A permanent bookstore is open at the Mont Belvieu location. Hours of operation vary depending on volunteer availability. For more information on bookstore hours, please contact the staff at 281-576-2245.
We Can Accept
- Chambers County source materials: family histories, maps, club histories, church scrapbooks, etc.
- High school yearbooks (any years, any county schools)
- Recent bestsellers
- Clean copies of classic titles (like Huckleberry Finn)
- Large print books
- DVDs and music CDs
We Cannot Accept
- Books in poor condition with yellowed pages, broken bindings, or musty smells
- Magazines
- Textbooks
- Readers’ Digest Condensed books
- Outdated information (books over 15 years old that are not literary classics)
- VHS tapes
- Cassettes
- Equipment
- Puzzles
- Computer software over 3 years old

(All Ages) Grow A Grass Buddy - Join us for a fun, hands-on spring craft! Decorate your own plastic cup, fill it with soil and seeds, and watch your grass buddy come to life. *available while supplies last
Seed Kits
Get your spring garden started! Come on by the library anytime this week to pick up a kit that will include 2 different types of seeds and some soil to get your at home garden started.
Origami Flowers

Fire Dept. Visit
Winnie-Stowell Fire Department and EMS will visit to spread the news for fire safety. Popcorn will be served. Ages 0-11
STEAM Night: NASA @ Your Library
Teens will have a chance to help with NASA exploration of the stars in this fun, interactive program!
